Backend Engineer (Go)

About the Role

We're hiring a Backend Engineer to help build and maintain our Go services. Our backend handles document parsing, resume generation, and data pipelines using Go and PostgreSQL. You'll be responsible for improving API performance, managing our database schema, and keeping our infrastructure reliable as we grow.

What You'll Do

• Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices using Go.
• Optimize database queries and manage schema changes in PostgreSQL.
• Maintain document parsing pipelines (PDF, DOCX) and data extraction tools.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and language models to support core features.
• Set up monitoring and logging to ensure system reliability.

Who You Are

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience, with professional experience in Go.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of concurrency and performance profiling in Go.
• Experience with Docker and modern deployment workflows.

Bonus Points

• Experience integrating with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) or prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with document processing or text extraction.
• Experience with Redis or event-driven architectures.
